About
I take on a limited number of commissions each month, allowing me to give every portrait and painting the time, care and attention it deserves.
My aim is always the same: to create something that will be treasured, remembered, and quietly passed down.
Although I am widely recognised for my pet portraiture, this has always been one part of a broader, established practice. I have long worked across both refined realism and expressive abstraction, moving naturally between the two. Each approach offers something different, yet both are guided by the same sensitivity to tone, balance, and composition.
In my portrait work, the focus is on capturing the quiet individuality of each animal—the subtle details that give them their character and presence. In my abstract pieces, that focus shifts into something more instinctive, exploring atmosphere, movement, and feeling in a less literal way. Both require a considered hand, and both are equally at home within my practice.
Alongside bespoke commissions, I offer a curated selection of original works and pieces through my shop. Every piece is created with the same care, attention, and intention—designed to feel timeless, distinctive, and quietly expressive within a space.
This is a practice shaped by versatility and refinement, but always led by instinct—knowing when to hold detail, and when to let it go.
